We provide top quality professional, yet personal, treatment to help patients of all ages and stages

Our chiropractors are registered with The General Chiropractic Council, members of the New Zealand Chiropractic Association and ACC providers. We aim to provide top quality care to suit our patient’s individual needs. Whatever your condition we are always on hand to help provide options, so please do get in touch to discuss how we can help you.

Pain, Injury and Rehabilitation

Nobody has time for injuries in their lives and it is far better to prevent them from happening than wait to pick up the pieces afterwards. Our team can work with you to help address old injuries or niggles and aim to restore function to your body. If the body is working in perfect harmony then injuries are less likely to occur. However, accidents do happen and when they do we can help you with your recovery and rehabilitation. We are ACC providers and primary health care practitioners which means we can be your first port of call. We are able to initiate ACC claims and begin your treatment care plan on your first visit. However, if we feel your injury is outside of our scope of practice we will refer you on to the most appropriate health care practitioner who can help you.

Health and Wellness

You don’t have to be in pain or have symptoms to benefit from chiropractic care. Treatment on a maintenance basis is designed to help maintain your improved health and spinal function, and prevent the return of the original complaint. Regular attention catches small problems before they become serious. Chiropractic visits, exercise and a sensible diet can help you enjoy the best of health well into the future.

Pregnancy

We work with local health care providers to offer treatment to woman during and after pregnancy. The team are able to care for woman throughout all stages of pregnancy by offering treatment and lifestyle advice during this life changing event. Whether this is for pain relief, preparation for labour, post-natal recovery or general well-being we would love to be a part of your journey.

Babies and Children

Treatment for young children involves very light and specific adjustments to help restore function to the joints and soft tissues. A lengthy birth or one involving instruments or surgical intervention can contribute to some unsettled behaviour in the infant. A gentle hands-on approach can quickly help release tension. Children of all ages can benefit from chiropractic care and we enjoy working with the whole family to provide support and advice during crucial growth and development stages. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding your children and to find out if chiropractic might be of benefit to them.

Acupuncture’

One of our experienced chiropractors is also an acupuncturist who has completed her Master in Acupuncture. The ancient healing practice, acupuncture aims to restore function by increasing the energy flow around the body. This can address physical, mental and emotional issues and has a strong emphasis on preventing sickness and optimisng health. Click here for more information about acupuncture.

Low Force techniques

As well as the more traditional high velocity chiropractic techniques, we also utilise various low force techniques.

Sacro-occipital technique is a comprehensive and innovative technique that utilizes the reciprocal relationship with the sacrum and occiput to pump cerebrospinal fluid around the brain, spine and nervous system. This system is vital for optimal health. The goal of SOT is to facilitate continuous motion that is required for the central nervous system to function efficiently. This process includes bio-mechanical levers called SOT blocks which are used to correct distortion patterns.

Craniosacral therapy is a technique we can use to treat acute and chronic complaints and can be effective in addressing many health conditions. It is a low force, gentle form of treatment perfect for all ages.

Activator Technique uses a small hand-held, spring loaded device which allows a controlled and specific force to be applied to a joint, with the aim being to restore function. It has a variety of amplitude settings allowing it to be safe and effective for all ages and is a great option for children.

We treat every patient as an individual and will use the most appropriate techniques for the case in hand. In most cases this will involve a combination of the above techniques to work towards the goals set. If you are unsure or apprehensive about any particular techniques please talk to your chiropractor and they can tailor your treatment plan to best suit your needs. It is all about you.
